At QR Stuff we make it super-easy to connect to a wireless network by simply scanning a QR code – and you can make your own WiFi Login QR code for free.

At work or at home, WiFi Login QR codes allow you to quickly and easily connect to your wireless network, and at WiFi hotspots in coffee shops, restaurants, and stores QR Codes can be used to connect instead of typing in the login credentials or having to ask a staff member for the password.

These Wifi Login QR codes work seamslessly and automatically on all Android devices, and any iPhones or iPads running iOS11. If your iPhone is running iOS10 or older then the WiFi login credentials will be displayed on screen so you can manually copy and paste them in.

How To Make A WiFi Login QR Code

  1. Go to www.qrstuff.com and select the “Wifi Login” data type from column 1. WiFi login QR codes are one of 23 data types available to free users, however if you become a paid subscriber you will also have access to our new Attendance Tracking QR codes, as well as QR codes for PDF documents and image files.
  2. In column 2 enter the SSID/Network Name, Password and Network Type for your office, home or in-store wireless network. This information is normally printed on a sticker on the back or the bottom of your router, or you can ask your IT person or service provider.
  3. You’re done! Just click on the “Download QR Code” button below the QR code preview image to save your finished WiFi Login QR code, then print it out and display it for anyone to log in to your wireless network.

Wireless Network QR Code

Important: In step #2 you need to select your Network Type (encryption standard) and the options are WEP, WPA, WPA2 or No Encryption. You must select the correct Network Type for your wireless network otherwise your WiFi QR code won’t work. You can read more about wireless network encryption standards here.

Print A Sheet Of Labels

Need to print a heap of your WiFi Login QR codes to have in convenient places all around your office or store? Creating sheets of QR code labels is another free standard feature at QRStuff.

Instead of clicking the “Download QR Code” button below the QR code preview image, move down the page to the “Output Type” and choose “Print”.

You will then be taken to a page where you will choose from a selection of common Avery label template layouts in either Letter or A4 size. If you are using generic labels then the Avery code that your labels are compatible with should be shown on your box or packet of label sheets. The sticker label layouts shown will print correctly on label sheets based on that Avery product code.

Once you’ve selected the label template you need, click “Download” to generate a preformatted printable PDF file containing multiple copies of your QR code sized and arranged to print onto the label sheet you chose above. The label template PDF can also be printed on single sheets of plain or adhesive paper, transparency film, or even iron-on transfer paper.

Make It A Bit Fancy

While free users can change the foreground colour of their QR code, paid subscribers have the ability to also change the appearance of QR code image and embed a logo or image in the centre of it. Just use the steps outlined above to create your WiFi Login QR code, and then, before you download your finished QR code, click the “Style Your QR Code” button to change its appearance.

To the right is an example that shows what could be done to the WiFi Login QR code created above using our QR Code Styling feature. Our styling interface allows you to make your QR code more visually distinctive and, by embedding a suitable image, perhaps more intuitive as well.

Our previous post on QR Code Styling will give you more information about how to use this feature.
