How to Scan a USPS QR code Using our QR Code Scanner

Do you keep missing your delivery packages?

If you use USPS delivery service, you don’t need to worry about missed packages anymore because their newly redesigned redelivery makes it easier for you to get a missed package.

USPS is now issuing a form called PS Form 3849. This form contains important information about the delivery. It shows who the item is from, when and why the delivery was missed, and how long the package is being held for redelivery.

The PS Form 3849 allows the recipient to request redelivery by just scanning a QR code which brings you to a webpage where you can arrange redelivery.

You can scan the QR code using your smartphone. However, not all smartphones have a QR code scanner feature. Only newer versions of Android and IOS have this feature on their default Camera app.

If your phone doesn’t have a built-in QR code scanner, downloading an app with that feature is always an option.

However, be careful in downloading third-party QR code scanners. Most QR code scanner apps request permission to access data on your smartphone. There is a possibility that the app might access sensitive data on your smartphone.

Some QR code scanners automatically take action after scanning the QR Code, but our QR scanner always shows the content of the QR Code first, and then suggests to take action. This what makes our QR Code Scanner safer to use than others.

We offer a safe web-based QR Code scanner, the only permission our scanner asks for is accessing the camera to be able to scan the QR Code.

Using QR Stuff’s QR Code Scanner

Using a web-based QR code scanner is faster and convenient. There is no need to download a separate app, and you do not need to sign up to use the scanner. It is offered for free users, and of course, our paid subscribers can gain access to this feature as well.

Our QR code scanner is one of the most reliable and easy to use on the Internet. It works and complies with the scanning standard, which means it can scan all standard QR codes. You scan the QR code and get a clickable link.

To use our QR code scanner, follow these steps:

  • Go to https://www.qrstuff.com/scan to be directed to the QR code scanner page.
    • Note that the user needs to allow permission to access the device camera to allow the scanner to capture the QR code ready to be scanned. The access permission only happens once the first time the scanning feature is used.
  • Simply point the camera at the QR code to be scanned, and you are automatically directed to the information it holds. For instance, your Website URL QR code takes you to the web page embedded in the code.

Another great advantage of the QR code scanner is it allows its users to scan the QR codes using either their desktop or mobile devices. It works using Chrome and Safari, so it’s also compatible with Android, and iPhone iOS 11 and onward.
